Athlone is one of the first areas in which the group traded. The Athlone branch initially traded from premises in Belgravia Road but a greedy landlord forced us to seek alternative premises in 1995.

The group then decided to purchase premises rather than rent to prevent a similar incident from occurring later. In June 1998 Pitstop reopened its Athlone branch in Old Klipfontein Road.

The branch is strategically located with easy access to the M5 and N2.
